Description

Something started a solid six months ago, put on hold, and picked back up recently. A revisit of the anatomical design of this previous Imp concept:

A small study for this design can be seen in scraps here:

In essence, the Grey Imp's design uses the general construction behind a bird to give it the impression that it "could" fly. The backbone of the Imp is the chest of a bird - complete with keel. This was equal parts a mechanical and aesthetic choice, as the incorporation of bird biomechanics could lend some level of credibility of the creature flying, and gave it the quintessential hunchback appearance that seems to characteristic of many flies and other, irritating biting insects. True to being inspired by bitey buzzing shits, the Grey Imp is a biter, too, known in Dis as Dragon's or Lucifer's Itch. Depicted is a female. The ovipositor is only ever present when she is ready to lay eggs (of which she will produce several thousand). Males are smaller and possess no such protuberance.

Oh my god this is amazing! Now I'm kinda curious as to in what conditions the eggs must be layed though.
