TUZ - Super Sonic

I find it absolutely hilarious that dA's new "Suggested gallery" feature gave me "Photography / Animals, Plants & Nature / Dogs & Cats" as the appropriate gallery for this image.

A while back I had asked if you all were interested in seeing any concept art for The Unknown Zone as I put it together.

This is much closer to my usual brand of work. I usually stick very close to anatomical realism, but with The Unknown Zone project, I'm aiming to become a little looser and more accepting of surreal and invocative designs. The Unknown Zone is meant to pull me out of my comfort zone, which so far is is working.

The idea behind this (yes, that's the current concept idea for Super Sonic in the Unknown Zone) is built off of a few things I've noticed in the series of late. In Black Knight and Secret Rings, Sonic's Super form is altered to match the location / story. Since the Unknown Zone is an alien place, the same would apply there, altering Sonic's Super form to match the life of the Zone itself. Though again this is only the first concept, it could very well change before The Unknown Zone actually starts or get punted out completely. Though I'm rather attached to it already; if it does get the boot story-wise, I'll probably recycle it for a different personal project.
